I dream of a world of people with their feet solidly on the ground and bringing up children to do the same. To love themselves in a way they can share with others and learn to treat the earth with love for the mother it is. Children who will grow up knowing how to work toward peace, who will work toward food and shelter for all the earths creatures.

Children who will see the inherent worth and value in every person and creature and every living growing part of their Mother Earth.

I am the Rev. Suzelle Lynch, minister of Unitarian Universalist Church West. My dream is of a world peaceful, fair, and free of war and violence -- a world free of racism and oppression, and one we live upon sustainably. These dreams are part of the mission of the church I'm honored to serve.

I dream of a world with no violence, no war. Where adults solve all of their problems in a non-violent peaceful way. Where the lives of all childen have equal value to the lives of our own. Where the concept of "War is Obsolete" comes to fruition.

My dream is that people (men and women) of all religions, ethnicities, walks of life and ages wake up to the reality that we are all One People who live in the embrace of our vibrantly alive Earth Mother. If - one by one - we can learn to love each other, honor and celebrate our differences, and live each day with wonder and a heart full of gratitude, we can we begin to create sustainable peace on Earth. Let it begin with ME!

We stand in Silence. The silenced ones who cannot talk for themselves are: the women, the children, the mothers, the fathers, the sisters, the brothers, the aunts and nieces..., all the humans deprived of their capacity to say: "enough of this already -- enough!" Our silence provides an opportunity for the birds, the crickets, the squirrels, the lizards to express themselves, letting us hear their sounds and music of peace. Our silence lets them all show us all the peripheral beauty we are destroying everyday. Our silence lets the land resonate by herself -- making us more aware that all the noise we make as humans is covering up our deeds of destruction pursued by greed while creating great distraction. A distraction that victimises everyone. A distraction that allows us to omit the forgotten ones. We maintain silence as a loud sound addressed to all the misguided leaders of this planet.

I am a daughter, sister, wife, granddaughter, niece, aunt, friend, and... mother. My dream is that we will all learn to respect and value each other as well as ourselves, so that, in loving ourselves, we can find compassion and community for the whole world. That is peace.

I have website www.morningmessages.com which has over 9,000 subscribers receiving the free messages and free webcasts each month.

I have hosted a women's support group once a month for 16 years called Miracles, Intentions and Prayers. It is my goal to empower others to their magnificence especially women.

I have hosted a monthly Sound Pod for the community to come together and play with free sounds, sounds that express our emotion. I feel when people can freely make sounds that will begin to speak their truth. "The conscious and intentional use of sound is our birthright and our source of power." Peggy Black

We will be especially thinking of the people of Haiti and all of our relations--ALL OF THEM--along the Gulf Coast.

Born and raised in India of loving American missionary parents, I had the opportunity to travel and be aware of other ways of thinking and believing than those in my own family. I began to question things young. Since graduating from high school there, have continued to choose to travel and work in many places of our world. Taught school for 40.5 years, students betw ages of 3 and adult (38 yrs w/ primary children), the last 2 w/ middle and high school), in 8 countries on 3 continents; have been devotedly married for nearly 34 years, with a grown son and daughter; have enjoyed being an active member of the Bahá'í Faith for nearly 42 years. One of the significant teachings of Bahá'u'lláh is the equality of women and men [like the two wings of one bird] and the crucial importance of educating both girls and boys; the world's first women's martyr was a lovely Persian poetess in the mid-1800s--when she was strangled, she declared: "You can kill me, but you cannot stop the emancipation of women!" Women's and girls' rights, especially in developing countries, has been a passion of mine for decades, ever since being strangely moved by Helen Reddy's "I am Woman" in the 1960s, and especially after learning about FGM in West Africa in the late 1970s. I am deeply happy about joining the "Standing Women" movement, and will spread the news to friends around the globe. May the Creator continue to inspire all who give love, service, and energy for the advancement of humanity!

I am a hermitess and former missionary to Africa with an outreach to our Native American communities who have taught me so much about our relationship to the Earth Mother and the Universe. My dream for the world is that we may recover some of this respect and learn how to care for the Universe which has been entrusted to us. That we will bring forth new inventions that are more in harmony with the earth and sky, and that we will once again have silence which is communion with the Creative Presence all around us and live in awe and wonder and thanksgiving. May we disarm and live in peace and love so that we become a global family caring for one another.

I remember working for peace at the time of the nuclear arms race. I was afraid my children would not live to grow up! But, praise God, they did and now have children of their own. I dream of a world where people welcome each other and have no reason to be afraid.

19 Placitas New Mexico United States

I have volunteered as a grass roots lobbyist on solutions to poverty and children issues for over 20 years. I recently returned from Kenya where I led a group of women to participate in the Africa-Middle East Regional Microcredit Summit and visited rural and Nairobi slum primary schools.

My dream is for a world that works with no one and anything left out.

20 Vancouver B.C. Canada

My dream is that we will remember that we are all connected. Our beautiful planet, our Mother, needs us to awaken and see how we need to honour her and all the life that exists here.We have no where to go and if she dies, we die.

I am now the crone. living alone in a large city can be lonely but I work with seniors. Growing old is something we are not taught and it has many challenges. I have a small plot in a community garden, I bike and belong to a creative writing group. I have strong spiritual woman friends and we do circle, drum and try to have fun. Love to read, drink cups of tea, and I love movies.
